In recent years, the segment of thematic and exhibition-independent art and artist books has developed strongly. Numerous smaller labels, publishers, shops and trade fairs initiated by artists and art historians have emerged. From 28 July to 15 September, the Kunsthalle Mannheim will be presenting selected art publications in an exhibition in the BOX documenting this development and creating new references to the content of the Kunsthalle Mannheim.
